At present there are numerous ways of obtaining electricity in Spain: from plants that use fossil fuels (mainly coal, natural gas and the always controversial nuclear power plants) to a wide range of renewable sources, represented mainly by wind and hydraulic energy.
However, there is a technology that is not well known, which is highly energy efficient, and which is considered one of the great options for the future: cogeneration plants.

On July 21, 2020, the European Union managed to approve the Recovery Plan for Europe, a package of direct aid to stimulate the economy and tackle the health crisis caused by Covid-19. The financial package totals 750,000 million from the recovery plan, of which Spain will receive 140,000 million.

The Council of Ministers approved on June 23, Royal Decree-Law 23/2020 to promote “in an orderly and rapid manner, the energy transition towards an electrical system based 100% on renewable energy and favor economic reactivation in line with the European Green Pact ”.
Despite the health crisis caused by Covid-19, at Keyplan we have managed to adapt to the new situation. Although during the last months we have teleworked to continue giving service and continuity to the projects that we had in progress, currently we have already returned to the office, following all the pertinent health and safety measures.
Since 1974, every June 5, International Environment Day has been celebrated, the most important date in the official United Nations calendar to promote environmental changes.
This day is usually accompanied by cleaning campaigns for beaches, forests, parks … etc. to sensitize and make society aware of the importance of taking care of the environment in which we live.
In Full Phase 0 of the de-escalation plan, there are still many unknowns regarding the Government’s plans to revive the economy. The restrictions are still harsh, but they will be relaxed over the weeks, establishing the date on which we would return to the “new normal” in the calendar in late June.
